The West Ham United boss was among the favourites to be sacked before Christmas.
The Sun claims West Ham United will offer a new deal to manager Slaven Bilic this summer… on one condition.
Bilic is said to have been close to the axe in December, with the 5-1 home defeat by Arsenal leaving the Hammers only a point and a place above the Premier League’s relegation places.

However, a run of six wins and a draw from their last 10 league outings has catapulted the east London side to ninth in the standings, and should they continue their climb between now and the end of the campaign, Bilic, the Sun claims, will get his reward.

The West Ham board are allegedly targeting a top-eight finish this season, and although the Hammers are five points adrift of West Bromwich Albion – the side currently occupying the position directly above them – they can cut the gap to two by beating Baggies on Saturday.
West Ham, who finished seventh last season, have endured a turbulent campaign so far and although results have improved of late, a club source told the Sun that performances are yet to match last season’s.

“There’s nothing we want more than for Slaven to go onto his third year with us but we really do need to start seeing some decent performances,” the source is alleged to have said. “There have been some scrappy wins and we need to see some good football and stuff to please the fans. That’s important.

“Then we can go into next season free of any source of anxiety and think about another contract at the end of this one as has always been the case at this club. That was what we wanted to see and it was great to watch.
“It’s West Brom next and they are a good team but we have real confidence and if we continue like that a top-eight finish is on.”
Bilic’s existing deal is due to expire at the end of next season.
