It is claimed that two of Bruce’s former Aston Villa coaches could arrive at Sheffield Wednesday before him.

The former Aston Villa manager, Steve Bruce, will be offered £2 million a year to succeed Jos Luhukay at Sheffield Wednesday, according to the Sun reporter Alan Nixon.
Reports in Luhukay’s native Netherlands claim the Owls boss has left Hillsborough.
And although there has been no official confirmation of that as yet, the Sun claims that Wednesday want to appoint Bruce as soon as possible – adding that the Owls chairman, Dejphon Chansiri, is ready to increase his previous wages at Aston Villa.
Bruce is said to want to spend Christmas and New Year with his family, however, leading to the suggestion that the arrivals of two of his former Villa coaches, Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence, could precede his appointment.

Agnew, incidentally, is the uncle of the loaned out Sheffield Wednesday striker, Jordan Rhodes.
Bruce wants assurances over Wednesday’s finances before committing to the role, and the Owls hope their salary package will prove they mean business, according to the Sun.

Nixon is the reporter that broke the news of Luhukay’s talks with the Yorkshire club back in January.
Would the former Aston Villa manager be a good fit for Sheffield Wednesday?
