According to Ouest France, Rennes are set to face Tottenham tonight without Jeremy Doku, who is arguably their best player.
What’s the story?
Well, this will be music to Nuno Espirito Santo’s ears, as Doku is a simply frightening attacker for defenders to worry about.
The 19-year-old made Gary Lineker ‘dizzy‘ during Belgium’s 2-1 loss to Italy at EURO 2020, after breaking the competition’s record for most successful dribbles (Opta).
Doku is yet to score or assist this season in four appearances.
However, the teenager has completed three dribbles per game in each of his three Ligue 1 appearances this season, so that part of his game is still alive and kicking.
Ouest France add that another important player for Rennes in Lovro Majer could also miss the visit of Tottenham.
Could Tottenham use Rennes game to their advantage?

According to Jeunes Footeux, Tottenham were interested in signing Doku over the summer, although Rennes wanted £43m for their No.11.
The report specifically stated that Nuno wanted the winger in N17.
Now, even though Doku might miss the game, Tottenham could use this to their advantage if they are still keen to sign the Belgian.

Spurs will be in the same stadium as Rennes chiefs, including their Sporting Director Florian Maurice, who is in charge of transfers.
Famously, Sir Alex Ferguson went upstairs and thrashed out a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo after Sporting Lisbon faced Manchester United.
After full-time tonight, we see no reason why Fabio Paratici or Nuno cannot do something similar and hold early talks about a deal for Doku.
