As per a report by SPORT, Real Madrid are interested in signing Leeds United target Raphael Guerreiro in the summer.
Recent reports linking Leeds to the Borussia Dortmund defender
TEAMtalk had recently claimed that the Whites’ sporting director, Victor Orta was already in the process of preparing a pre-contract offer for the Portuguese international.
James Footeux had also mentioned that while a contract is on the table for the versatile defender to sign at Dortmund, he is believed to be keeping his options open currently, which was a positive omen for Leeds.

Considering the club have showcased a tendency to sign players operating in Germany and Austria since Jesse Marsch’s arrival, the logic checks out regarding their interest in Guerreiro’s signature, as first reported by journalist Dean Jones via GiveMeSport.
While it seemed as if he was set to join Manchester City in the summer as per Sky Sports News, Real Madrid may end up spoiling Leeds’ party.
Real Madrid’s interest is bad news for Leeds
Coming off the back of winning both La Liga and Champions League last season, Real Madrid have reclaimed their status as the most successful club in Europe.
And with the side looking a tad better than last term, whilst being any player’s dream club, Leeds could end up tasting defeat in their pursuit of the 28-year-old.
A player who Jude Bellingham once said “runs rings around everyone”, as per the Bundesliga’s official website, Raphael Guerreiro remains a top player at both left-back and left wing-back, as well as in central midfield.
While his arrival would have boosted a priority position for Jesse March’s side who have fielded the likes of Patrick Strujik and Junior Firpo at left-back this season, Guerreiro would have been as staggering an upgrade as possible for the club.
However, beating Los Blancos in a race to sign a transfer target is a tall task for any and every club in the game.
