As per a report by SPORT, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on Arsenal target Youri Tielemans as an alternative to Jude Bellingham.

Los Blancos are assessing a move for the in-form Tielemans if mission Bellingham falls through

It has been stated that while Carlo Ancelotti’s side consider the England international as their top priority, a failure to sign him would prompt the European champions to complete a deal for the 25-year old.

While Los Merengues president Florentino Perez is believe to share a good relationship with the decision makers at Dortmund, a number of top Europe’s top sides have queued up for the teenage sensation’s signature.

Furthermore, SPORT have reported that while the bidding for Bellingham will begin as €100 million (£87.5 million), the fee could rise up to a staggering €150 million (£131.3 million).

With signing the former Birmingham City player being a challenge for even a club of Real Madrid’s stature, they could decide to divert their attention towards signing the £25 million-rated controller, as stated by Football.London, whose contract expires in the summer.

After all, the La Liga champions were especially interested in bringing Tielemans to the Spanish capital during Zinedine Zidane’s tenure.

However, the Frenchman’s exit put an end to the club’s desire to sign the Leicester lynchpin.

Arsenal should target January as their ideal window of opportunity to sign him

Recently, it was reported by the Mirror that Mikel Arteta’s side were the frontrunners to sign Youri Tielemans.

If Arsenal wish to capitalise on their reported lead, January would be the ideal time to do so, as Real Madrid’s pursuit for Jude Bellingham will begin in the summer.

Considering the North Londoners still need to bolster their midfield department, bringing in the former Anderlecht superstar could also help them solidify their bid to become Premier League champions.
