The Rangers winger is progressing well after making his debut under Steven Gerrard, the Ibrox manager, earlier this year.

The Rangers winger, Glenn Middleton, has agreed a new contract at Ibrox, according to the Scottish Sun.
Middleton is said to have signed an 18-month deal after joining Rangers from Norwich City at the start of this year.
But having made significant progress at first team level – scoring three goals and creating another in 12 outings this season – Rangers have reportedly moved to secure his services on a ‘longer-term’ basis.
A lifelong Rangers supporter, Middleton was given his debut for the club as recently as four months ago by Steven Gerrard. And Gerrard has regularly praised the 18-year-old since then.

The English-born Scotland Under-21 international previously played under Graeme Murty, the former Rangers interim manager turned youth team coach, at Norwich.
Middleton is one of at least six players this week earmarked by Craig Mulholland, the Rangers academy head, as future Ibrox regulars, alongside McCrorie brothers, Ross and Robby; Stephen Kelly, Cammy Palmer and Jack Thomson.
