The midfielder was the subject of interest from Rangers earlier this year, but Pedro Caixinha failed to bring him to Ibrox.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha
The Aberdeen midfielder was the subject of Ibrox interest during the summer transfer window, but the Gers were unable to prise him from Pittodrie.
Aberdeen midfielder Kenny McLean
And despite recruiting three central midfielders already during Caixinha’s six-month reign, it would appear as though Rangers remain keen on McLean.
The 25-year-old is in the final year of his Aberdeen deal, which means Rangers can approach him about signing a pre-contract from New Year’s day should he fail to agree a new one by then.
Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack
McLean would not be the first Dons player to see out his deal in order to facilitate a move to Ibrox, after Ryan Jack, his old partner-in-crime, did likewise earlier this year.
Moult has already turned down the Fir Park club’s offer of an extension.
Should Rangers make moves for McLean and Moult in January?
