Football site 90Min claim Rangers are open to the sale of Alfredo Morelos at Ibrox due to his contractual situation – amid previous interest from Newcastle, West Ham, Aston Villa and other Premier League clubs.

Morelos, 26, is about to enter the final year of his contract at Rangers. 90Min report that if he is unwilling to extend his Ibrox stay, then they will consider a sale this summer in order to bring in some cash for the Colombia international.

While Colombia have not qualified for the World Cup, Morelos will still want to join a club where he is playing regularly to continue adding to his 11 international caps. He is about to enter his sixth season at Rangers.

In that time, he has amassed a huge 113 goals in 224 games. But with Sevilla keen, and with Brighton, Fulham and Forest also said to have taken a look – it looks more than likely that Morelos will end up leaving this summer.

Rangers open to sale of Morelos: Newcastle and West Ham interest

Earlier this year, Jamie Murphy predicted that Morelos would leave the club this summer and test himself in the Premier League. That now looks more likely than ever, with six said to have shown recent interest.

But what is a fair price for Morelos? Celtic sold Moussa Dembele for £20million. Morelos enjoyed a good campaign with Rangers – having a hand in 27 goals. But it was not his best Rangers form.

Throw in his contract situation and Rangers will have to accept he is not going to match Dembele’s fee. Perhaps, a figure in the region of £10million to £15million might see him leave Ibrox after five years.
