Benfica midfielder Chris Willock is closing in on a move to Queens Park Rangers after the Championship outfit agreed a £750,000 deal, according to the Daily Mail.
The former England youth star might be about to live up to the potential that had former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger raving about his “natural talent”.
Loftus Road could be the perfect destination for a 22-year-old who showed glimpses of his match-changing ability during an impressive loan spell at Huddersfield Town in the second half of last season.
After all, in Mark Warburton QPR have a coach who specialises in working with gifted, creatively minded youngsters.
Willock helped the Terriers climb away from the Championship relegation zone and, according to the Mail, a side now coached by Carlos Corberan was keen to bring Willock back to Yorkshire on a full-time basis.
Derby County, Bournemouth and Steven Gerrard’s Rangers were also interested.

But while Huddersfield agreed a fee with Benfica, they didn’t manage to get those pesky personal terms over the line.
And QPR are taking full advantage, paying an initial £750,000 rising to somewhere in the region of £1 million.
The west London outfit, who also hope to sign Charlton Athletic striker Macauley Bonne this month, may see Willock as an ideal successor to departed talisman Eberechi Eze.
