Former AS Roma sporting director Gianluca Petrachi has reportedly recommended Tottenham manager Antonio Conte to sign Torino defender and rumoured Newcastle target Gleison Bremer.
According to FC Inter News, the Italian official has suggested that the Spurs boss makes a move for the Brazilian defender, who is on the radar for multiple European clubs heading into the summer transfer window.
As per the report, the likes of Inter Milan, AC Milan and Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the Serie A star, yet interest from the Premier League so far appears to be the strongest, with Tottenham and Newcastle firmly in the race for Bremer.
According to Corriere Granata, Newcastle made a €30m (£25m) to sign the defender in the January transfer window. However, the offer for the Tottenham target was rejected by Torino, with Bremer shortly signing a new contract with the Italian club.
With Fabrizio Romano calling the centre-back ‘incredible’, it is likely that a much bigger offer will have to be made if any club is to sign. Bremer this summer, with Newcastle likely to rekindle their interest in the centre-back with Tottenham following shortly behind.
Moreover, with Conte now getting a push from a former colleague to sign Bremer in Petrachi, Tottenham could now have the motivation ended to bring the 24-year-old to north London despite huge interest in the player.
Bremer to Tottenham could be an outstanding signing for Conte

With Bremer enjoying a sensational year in Serie A, clubs are lining up to sign the Brazilian when the iron is hot, and for Tottenham, the defender could be an incredible addition to Conte’s squad for next season.
Defence is an area that has to be upgraded this summer, and in Bremer, Conte could have the ideal player to improve the Tottenham backline from a division the Italian knows like the back of his hand.
