Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici are firmly in the headlines as Tottenham fans express frustration at the chaos Spurs find themselves in.

Antonio Conte has been sacked – leaving Ryan Mason and Cristian Stellini in charge of the business end to the campaign.

Now, Paratici – Director of Football at Tottenham – has seen his 30-month ban from football operations in Italy extended worldwide, meaning he is unable to take part in finding a new manager.

The Italian has been found guilty of false accounting during his days at Juventus, and while others involved resigned from their roles in Turin, Paratici stayed, with Levy strangely deciding not to sack him.

Now, we have been given some insight into how their relationship works in N17.

What’s the story?

Well – according to Football London – some staff within Tottenham actually think Levy is intimidated by Paratici.

It is said that the Italian isn’t afraid to tell the 61-year-old when he is wrong, and often leaves decisions up to him if there is a disagreement.

Football London add that Levy does actually like Paratici despite that, and the 50-year-old represents someone who the Tottenham chief has given a huge amount of power to since hiring him in June 2021.

It certainly sounds like a strange working dynamic, to say the least.

In our view, Paratici is not worth persisting with.

Despite a few impressive signings in the form of Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski and Cristian Romero, the 50-year-old does not seem to be worth the hassle currently sounding him after the 30-month ban was extended globally.

Football London highlight the fact that Paratici convinced Levy to hire Nuno Espirito Santo under the promise of attacking football – something that was not evident under the Portuguese tactician whatsoever.

It is also said that Gennaro Gattuso emerged as another managerial option, in addition to Paulo Fonseca and Julen Lopetegui.

Crucially, these managers all adopt differing styles of play, so it really doesn’t seem as if Paratici has a clear idea of how he wants Tottenham to look.
