Nottingham Forest are said to have failed with an attempt to sign the Denmark international in August.

Nottingham Forest are set to make a new bid for Frederik Ronnow, the Daily Mirror reports on page 50 of its printed edition on Wednesday.
Both Forest and Crystal Palace are said to have failed in attempts to sign the Danish goalkeeper from Brondby during the summer transfer window.

Mark Warburton’s side later loaned Adam Federici from Bournemouth as cover for Jordan Smith and Stephen Henderson, but were forced to terminate the Australian’s loan deal early due to injury.
With only four Championship clubs shipping more goals than Nottingham Forest this season (37), back-line reinforcements are paramount if the Reds are to challenge for the play-offs.

And links to Chelsea’s Jake Clarke-Salter on Tuesday, courtesy of the Daily Mail, suggest centre-back is also an area Warburton is looking to address this winter.
The Sun reports on page 62 of its printed edition on Wednesday that Palace are targeting a January move for Aston Villa’s on loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, which could leave the coast clear for Forest to pounce on Ronnow.
