Nottingham Forest caretaker manager Gary Brazil is already making plans for the future.

According to a report in the Nottingham Post, Gary Brazil and Jack Lester have already met with Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi over potential summer transfer targets.

It is still unclear what role Brazil will have at Forest in the future, but the caretaker manager is keen not to see the side left behind in their preparations for next season.

Brazil has stepped up from managing Forest’s youngsters to taking control of the first-team, since Philippe Montanier’s departure.

And Brazil has made a positive impact at Forest – winning two of his first three matches in charge.

The 54-year-old has guided Forest to victories over Rotherham United and, most recently, Aston Villa.

Brazil is now the favourite to land the Forest’s manager’s job on a permanent role, and Al-Hasawi has already hinted that he could stay in charge until the end of the campaign.

Forest showed a large amount of ambition during the January transfer window – bringing in the likes of Ross McCormack and Zach Clough, and they will need to add more quality to their starting line-up.

The Reds are currently in 15th place in the Championship table, eight points above the drop zone.
