Nottingham Forest are yet to confirm Philippe Montanier’s permanent replacement.

Gary Brazil’s odds to become Nottingham Forest’s next manager have continued to shorten over the weekend, with bookmakers SkyBet.

Brazil is now the odds on favourite to become Forest’s next boss, and is regarded as a 4/5 shot to take over at the City Ground.

Fawaz Al-Hasawi has already hinted that he could leave Brazil in charge until the end of the season, after a positive up-turn in results since the 54-year-old took caretaker charge.

Forest have won two of their three matches since Brazil took the reins, following the departure of Philippe Montanier.

The Reds had looked to appoint Nigel Clough, but he opted to stay with Burton Albion.

The bookies now feel that is likely that Brazil will remain in permanent charge of Forest, at least until the end of the season.

Of the other candidates, it is intriguing that Gary Rowett has now become the second favourite to take over.

Birmingham’s manager Gary Rowett

Rowett was, at one stage, the most likely candidate for the Forest job – but he publicly admitted that the job didn’t interest him.

However, the former Birmingham City boss is now regarded as a 7/2 shot, with his odds shortening significantly in recent times.
