According to The Telegraph, Newcastle are set to make one final inquiry about Conor Gallagher’s availability on deadline day.

Conor Gallagher has been one of the most sought-after players in the transfer window this month.

Chelsea are now reportedly willing to let him go, and Newcastle United are keen to know what it will take to bring him to St James’ Park.

The Telegraph is reporting that Newcastle are set to make a final inquiry about the availability of Gallagher, who has been a target for the club for quite a while now.

The Magpies have been linked to the ‘extraordinary’ midfielder throughout the month, and now they seem to be pushing forward with their interest. Newcastle currently sit third in the league, and are the richest club in the world, so they have the resources to make a real run at the midfielder.

Newcastle do need a new midfielder after reportedly agreeing to sell Jonjo Shelvey to Nottingham Forest.

However, Liverpool and Everton have also been linked to Gallagher, but it seems that Newcastle may be the club that is most keen to sign him, having been linked for a number of weeks.

It’s unclear at this point which club Gallagher will choose to join, but one thing is for sure, he’s got a lot of suitors.

Whether it’s Liverpool, Everton, or Newcastle, Gallagher will have no shortage of options. It’s up to him to decide which club will be the best fit for him, but it’s certainly a good problem to have for a player who needs to move away from Chelsea to continue his development.

With the Blues looking more and more likely to sign Enzo Fernandez, Gallagher is a player that should be looking to exit Stamford Bridge in a search for more minutes – minutes he would likely get at Newcastle.
