The Spaniard spent five months on loan with Leeds United last term, and is now reportedly wanted by both Newcastle United and Southampton.

According to a report from the International Business Times, the Magpies and Saints are keeping close tabs on Villarreal ace Alfonso Pedraza, with the view of making a potential move to sign him in January.
The 21-year-old, who spent the second half of last season in England on loan with Leeds United, is currently on loan with La Liga side Alaves, and has impressed during his nine outings for his club thus far.

The left-footed wide-man has showcased his versatility in Spain this season, making five appearances at left-back in La Liga, and that could be something that is attracting both Rafa Benitez and Mauricio Pellegrino, what with the hectic nature of the fixture schedule in England.

And the International Business Times are reporting that Newcastle and Southampton have sent scouts to run their eye over Pedraza on numerous occasions this season, with a view to either making a January bid, or submitting an offer in the summer for the exciting youngster.
And with the January window not too far away, this will certainly be one to keep a close eye on.
