The wantaway midfielder is close to finalising his exit.
Tottenham’s Nabil Bentaleb
Nabil Bentaleb looks set to join Schalke on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy for £17 million next summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The 21-year old has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane and Mauricio Pochettino has stated that the midfielder is not in his plans on several occasions.
Leicester’s Marc Albrighton and Tottenham’s Nabil Bentaleb
The Mail claim that Spurs are reluctant to let him leave on loan, preferring to do a permanent deal right away, but that Schalke’s offer of £17 million to be paid in a year’s time could be too good to turn down.
Schalke have agreed to pay the money for Bentaleb’s permanent transfer based on certain appearance criteria being met during his loan spell.
Meanwhile, both Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll have been linked with moves away – by the likes of the Mirror – and if all three do indeed leave, Pochettino will surely need to reinforce his squad.
Georges-Kevin Nkoudou at Marseille
Pau Lopez and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou are thought to be close to arriving but Spurs will need more than that if they are to compensate for all their potential outgoings.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy
DeAndre Yedlin is set to join Newcastle in a £5 million deal, while Nacer Chadli hasn’t featured this season and also looks to be on his way out, according to the Mirror.
The next week is shaping up to be a busy one at Hotspur Way and Tottenham must ensure they aren’t left light come the close of the transfer window.
