Tottenham Hotspur would no doubt love to have a centre back like Ben White at the club.
Spurs need one, possibly two new recruits in defence this summer, as they don’t appear to have one centre back they can rely on consistently.
Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez are both fairly inconsistent, whilst Joe Rodon is inexperienced in the Premier League and Toby Alderweireld is now 32.
White has been a star for Brighton this summer, showing the elegant style that made him a favourite on loan at Leeds United last season.
The 23-year-old only signed a new four-year deal in 2020, but that likely won’t stop any interest at the end of the season.
Spurs targeted White in January according to Sky Sports, and with their desperate need for a centre back, they will surely be in the hunt again.

Now though, The Sun claim that Jose Mourinho has told Roma to get involved and make a move for White this summer.
Mourinho wanted White at Tottenham, and whilst he has now left the Premier League for a move to Italy, his interest in White hasn’t waned.
Roma likely won’t manage to strike a deal, as Brighton want £45million for their defender, branded ‘fantastic’ by Adam Lallana.
That price tag surely rules Spurs out too, with Brighton under no pressure to sell – no matter how much Mourinho wants him.
