Adam Lallana told talkSPORT that Ben White is ‘going to attract interest’ amid claims that Liverpool wanted to sign him in January.
The Sunday Mirror did report in December that Liverpool were keen to sign the £50 million versatile defender from Brighton.
White’s price-tag may have been off-putting for those on Merseyside, as Liverpool snapped up Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak instead.
And speaking to Darren Bent’s Boot Room on TalkSport, Lallana was asked to share his thoughts on White potentially going to Liverpool and whether he can earn international honours.
“He has had an absolutely fantastic season,” said Lallana. “He’s very, very versatile. He can play anywhere across the back and that’s in a back five.
“He has played central midfield this season and has consistently been playing at a high level, so, of course, he’s going to attract interest.
“But he’s a very level-headed lad and you can see that he’s a very good player, week in and week out in what is his first season in the Premier League.”

Liverpool’s centre-back troubles this season are there for all to see, but come the summer, they may well be over-crowded.
Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip will be expected to return from their long-term injuries, whilst Nat Phillips, Ben Davies, Ozan Kabak (if it’s permanent) and Rhys Williams are the current available options.
And with rumours circulating from the Athletic that Liverpool are closing in on RB Leipzig’s Ibrahima Konate, it perhaps ends the road for Jurgen Klopp making another push for White in the summer.
