Jose Mourinho will discuss whether he wants to keep Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier at the club in the coming weeks with Daniel Levy, the Daily Mail suggest.
Lamela and Aurier have both played important roles for Tottenham over the early part of the campaign, having been linked with moves away in the summer.
The pair both see their contracts expire in 2022, and with Tottenham not wanting to be forced into selling them at a cut price deal, Levy now seems to be ready to discuss whether to offer them fresh terms or not.
It is not yet clear whether Mourinho would want to keep either of the players around, as they have not always fully convinced with Spurs.
Lamela has been criticised for a lack of end product and has struggled with persistent injury problems, while Aurier’s rash defender often comes under fire.
However, they do both have their strengths too – and they have been important rotational options for Mourinho this term.

Aurier has started Tottenham’s last two games, and Lamela, who was hailed as an ‘exciting’ player by Stephen Warnock to BBC Sport, also featured in Spurs’s best performance of the season, as they beat Manchester United 6-1.
Spurs may feel that both could be upgraded, but that would be a costly venture.
And if they are happy to play back-up roles, then the pair could yet be handed new deals to keep them around.
