AS Roma have reportedly launched an offer to sign Paulo Dybala, who is also rumoured to be on Arsenal and Tottenham’s radar following his release from Juventus.
According to Foot Mercato, the Italian side have made the former Serie A superstar their top priority this summer and have already offered Dybala a contract, with the report stating that the Argentine international is wanted by the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Manchester United, with other reports stating that Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen.
Dybala left Juventus and his reported £222,000-a-week contract at the end of last season after the 28-year-old attacker failed to reach new terms with the Turin giants, bringing an end to the attacker’s time in northern Italy in what was one of the most surprising transfer decisions of the summer.
A world-class attacker who has dominated in Italy and Europe over the past few years, Dybala is not short of suitors this summer, and Roma have seemingly made their first big move to sign the former Palermo talent, with Mourinho able to finance a move for the forward if Nicolo Zaniolo leaves the Stadio Olimpico.
According to reports, Roma are trying hard to sell the Italian international amid interest from Juventus and Tottenham, yet a deal to get Zaniolo out of the Eternal City is proving difficult given his reported £50m price tag and the lack of suitors willing to match this fee.
Indeed, replacing Zaniolo with Dybala would be a masterstroke of a signing from Roma, and for Arsenal and Tottenham, their hopes of landing the former Juventus superstar are fading by the day, with a move to the Italian capital now seemingly the most likely outcome for the South American goalscorer.
Roma landing Dybala would be a huge sign of intent from Mourinho

Mourinho enjoyed a successful first year with Roma after guiding the Italian side to the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League title, and following that up with the signing of Dybala would be an incredible sign of where the Portuguese manager could take the Serie A club.
Whilst interest from Arsenal and Tottenham makes a lot of sense from a neutral’s point of view, Dybala would become arguably Roma’s most talented and exciting player since the prime years of Francesco Totti, and the Argentine would become Mourinho’s talisman in a squad that could challenge for silverware in Italy and once again in Europe.
