According to Football.London, Konstantinos Mavropanos will get the chance to impress Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in pre-season training.
It has been reported that the good form that Mavropanos is showing during his loan spell at Stuttgart at the moment will earn him the right to return to Arsenal and fight for his place in pre-season.
Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat, who actually signed the 23-year-old central defender for Arsenal in 2018, has admitted that the better the youngster plays, the less likely he will be at the club on another loan next season.
Big pre-season ahead
Arsenal are not lacking in centre-backs. Gabriel, Rob Holding and David Luiz (he is out of contract at the end of the season) are the three big players at the back. Willian Saliba is also scheduled to return to the Gunners at the end of the season from his loan spell.
Mavropanos has made only a handful of appearances for the Arsenal first team and had a loan spell at Nurnberg as well.
It is going to be hard for the Greek youngster to establish himself in the Gunners’ first team next season, and he should do his best in pre-season.
