The Tottenham Hotspur ace has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

A report from the Independent today claims that the Red Devils are ready to shelve their interest in Spurs full-back Danny Rose, due to the fact that they expect difficulties in dealing with Daniel Levy.
United had been linked with a £45 million January swoop for the 27-year-old, according to the Daily Star, with Jose Mourinho thought to be a big fan of the left-back.
Rose’s future with Tottenham remains unclear, with Ben Davies now considered to be Mauricio Pochettino’s first choice left sided defender.

Despite the Red Devils’ interest in the England international, the Independent claim that Mourinho would prefer to pursue a deal for Juventus wing-back Alex Sandro.
The Independent report that with Daniel Levy’s reputation as a tough seller, United envisage a long drawn out transfer saga, should they attempt to bring the Spurs man to Old Trafford.

The 55-year-old is notoriously difficult to negotiate with, but it could be argued that his way of doing business is admirable, especially from Tottenham’s perspective.
He always manages to get the best possible deal for his club, from a financial perspective, and that would undoubtedly be no different, should United come knocking for Rose.
And with this in mind, it is little wonder that the three-time European champions have reportedly chosen to switch targets.
