Tottenham Hotspur have really evolved under the guidance of the Argentine.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media ahead of his side’s home game against Stoke City in the Premier League today, and shared the remit that he was given when he took over at the club way back in May 2014, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
The Argentine has worked wonders during his time at the helm at Tottenham, guiding his side to consecutive top four finishes, but arguably more importantly, transforming an underperforming group of players into a hard-working, more unified outfit.
There are now questions being asked regarding his ability to guide his side to major honours, however, with his side gaining a reputation for falling away when the going gets tough.

Pochettino spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference yesterday, and opened up on the remit given to him by the Tottenham board when he took over, as quoted by Football.London:

“When we arrived here three and a half years ago, the challenge was to be competitive, to build a team to arrive at the new stadium and try to do what we are doing now in the Champions League. That was the objective – in four years, to create a team that can compete for the top four in the Premier League and can compete for a place and play in the Champions League. Of course we are ahead of the plan and the project.”
The north London outfit currently sit 18 points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s rampant Manchester City side, and they can ill-afford too many more slip-ups, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of challenging for the title this season.
