Italian journalist Rudy Galetti claims Manchester United have asked for information on Inter Milan defender Denzel Dumfries – amid reports that Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in signing Netherlands international.
Dumfries, 26, has starred for Inter since joining the club in the summer of 2021 from PSV. He has since clocked up 64 appearances for the Nerazzurri, having a hand in 17 goals. But Inter are strapped for cash and need to sell.
Milan Skriniar, Hakan Calhanoglu, Lautaro Martinez, Joaquin Correa and Alessandro Bastoni have all been linked with big-money exits. Dumfries, too. CMW say Tottenham are keen on the £35m-rated star – who will be in Qatar.
They might even include Emerson Royal in a deal. CMW also report that Chelsea have shown interest and they too, might try a swap deal – a straight-swap move for Mateo Kovacic. Now, United have requested information.
But Galetti says a third Premier League club want to sign the Netherlands star and that is United – and fellow countryman Erik ten Hag. United have been using Diego Dalot on the right of the defence since ten Hag’s arrival.

Manchester United ask for information on Dumfries
Dumfries would be a brilliant addition for ten Hag’s side. The same can be said for Tottenham and Chelsea. He is a player that boasts all the traits and characteristics required to play in the Premier League. Speed, strength, bravery.
An international player with Champions League experience. Still only 26, a £35million price tag is good value for a player that would be perfect for Premier League clubs. Inter are struggling in Serie A and he will be tempted.
The clubs will not need convincing by his performances at the World Cup. But, if he shines in Louis van Gaal’s side, his value is only going to go up. TransferMarkt say he is represented by the same agent that looks after Paul Pogba.
