The Mirror report that Manchester City could be in line to receive a huge £5million sell-on fee for Leeds United ace Jack Harrison – as Newcastle consider a £35million move for the Englishman this summer.
Harrison, 25, caught the eye for Leeds last season – not only for his work rate but his 10 goals from the left flank. It included a hat-trick against West Ham at the London Stadium, and a crucial goal on the last day to keep Leeds up.
Reports state that Newcastle must pay a whopping £35million for Harrison, a player Alan Shearer thinks is “amazing”. Asked about his future on Sunday morning, Harrison hinted at an exit by saying “we’ll see, we’ll see.”

Now, The Mirror report Manchester City could receive almost £5million. That is because they boast a 20% sell-on clause on the profit Leeds make on their £11million signing. £24million profit, means 20% would be £4.8million.
Manchester City could receive fee as Newcastle consider Harrison
Harrison looks likely to remain at Leeds this summer, firstly. That is because the Whites have already cashed in on Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips. Another big-name departure would start to disrupt, looking like a fire sale.
But it is clear to see why Newcastle want him. Hard-working, versatile in that he can play as a wing-back; the perfect kind of Eddie Howe player. It is even more apparent now, why Leeds want to charge so much for him.
Given they have to give a large contribution to the Premier League champions, it is no surprise they want more than £30million. But as stated, it looks more than likely that Harrison will remain at Elland Road.
