Manchester City can reportedly sign Spanish defender Sergio Gomez for just €15m (£12m), with Arsenal and Manchester United also believed to be interested in the R.S.C. Anderlecht star.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the Belgian giants are open to selling their star defender for as little as £12m, with City chasing the 21-year-old as an alternative to Marc Cucurella.
City have spent well over £100m this summer with the signings of Erling Haaland, but the sales of Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Oleksandr Zinchenko mean the Premier League champions have room to spend more.
With no natural left-back in the squad, Gomez would be an astute piece of business for City, with the Anderlecht star regarded as one of the mos exciting fullback talents in Europe outside of the continent’s top-five leagues.
Labelled by Total Football Analysis as an ‘extraordinary’ talent, Gomez would be well-suited to City and Pep Guardiola’s philosophy, but interest from Arsenal and United could cause problems in the Manchester side’s attempt to lure the exciting fullback to the Etihad Stadium.
Both Premier League rivals are reportedly interested in Gomez, yet even with Anderlecht naming a bargain price tag for the youngster, City should be able to sign the defender ahead of Arsenal and United.
City should be looking to sign Gomez as soon as possible

With a month of the window left to go, a left-back will be much-needed for City’s squad depth and their chances at keeping their best players fit for the new season, and Gomez much be a priority for the Manchester giants.
£12m is a bargain in this day and age, and for City, they must be looking to beat the likes of Arsenal and United to the Spanish youngster in what could be a bargain signing for the reigning Premier League champions.
