Everton’s Premier League 2 winger Josh Bowler has agreed terms with Blackpool and is set to undergo a medical with the newly promoted Championship outfit, as reported by TEAMtalk.
Four years after the Toffees paid a fee rising to about £4 million for the one-time Queens Park Rangers starlet, that same player is heading out of Goodison Park on a free transfer.
Despite playing a major role as David Unsworth’s U23s won the Premier League 2 title in 2019, Bowler failed to force his way into the first-team picture at Everton.

The 22-year-old forward certainly wasn’t helped by the constant churn behind the scenes either.
Ronald Koeman was Everton manager when he arrived in 2017 after all – and so much water has passed under the bridge at Finch Farm since then.

TEAMtalk reports Bowler is now set for a fresh start after the Merseyside giants decided against extending his contract.
And Blackpool, who sealed promotion from League One last season under former Liverpool coach Neil Critchley, have fought off competition from a number of clubs, agreeing terms with Bowler ahead of a medical later this week.
“Josh Bowler was terrific. We need to get the ball to his feet in the final third and that’s where you see his magic,” Unsworth said in 2019.
