Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool do not want to sell Caoimhin Kelleher in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.
The report has claimed that Liverpool want to hold onto the Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper for ‘as long as possible ‘.
The 23-year-old has established himself as the number two goalkeeper in the Liverpool team behind Alisson and ahead of Adrian.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of Kelleher, describing him as “absolutely insane” and “the best No.2 in the world” in The London Evening Standard in February 2022.

Liverpool could eventually lose Caoimhin Kelleher
In our view, Liverpool may have to let go of Caoimhin Kelleher in the coming years.
It was only on June 6 that the 23-year-old was quoted as saying by The Irish Independent that he is thinking about his future at Liverpool, adding that he will have “conversations”.
Kelleher wants to play regularly at club level, and that is not going to happen at Liverpool.
Alisson is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and is in his prime now.
We do not envisage Liverpool sending Kelleher out on loan or selling the 23-year-old in the summer transfer window.
However, the Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper has a contract until the summer of 2026.
Kelleher may not happy playing second fiddle until 2026 and may want to move on after another season or two.
