Caoimhin Kelleher is keen to test himself out on loan next season after forcing his way into the first-team picture at Liverpool in recent months, according to the Liverpool Echo.
One of a host of talented youngsters who have been handed their senior bows since the start of the 2019/20 season, the Irish goalkeeper, like Harvey Elliot, Sepp Van der Berg and Curtis Jones, has impressed whenever he has been called upon by a Champions League-winning manager.
Kelleher certainly made a positive impression on his first-ever experience for the Reds, keeping a clean sheet and making a series of eye-catching stops during an EFL Cup victory over MK Dons.
Yet with Alisson Becker firmly established as Liverpool’s number one, and with claims from Turkey suggesting that a deal to sign Trabzonspor’s Ugurcan Cakir is close to completion, Kelleher would be up against it if he wants to improve on this season’s tally of four appearances next time around.
No wonder the 21-year-old wants to go out on loan, according to The Echo.

Kelleher is determined to prove his worth on a regular basis and you would imagine that there will be no shortage of clubs in the Championship willing to offer the 6ft 2ins shot-stopper an opportunity.
Perhaps Huddersfield Town, who will be targeting a new goalkeeper this summer once Kamil Grabara returns to Anfield, would be interested in landing another Merseyside-based glovesman.
“Kelleher is an outstanding talent,” Klopp told The Mirror of the youngster after a thrilling 5-5 draw with Arsenal in the Autumn.
