Andy Robertson’s injury is not as serious as Liverpool first feared, in what looks like a major boost for Jurgen Klopp’s side, the Daily Mirror report.

Robertson injury update

Robertson picked up a problem while representing Scotland on international duty.

The Liverpool full-back limped off during Scotland’s win over Denmark on Monday evening.

He has since undergone scans, but they have shown that there has been no muscle tear, which means he could make a swift recovery.

Liverpool are still likely to be without him for their next two matches – against Arsenal and Porto – but he could return after that.

The news looks to be hugely positive for Liverpool, who were worried when Robertson limped off.

The Reds have already suffered with numerous injuries this term and Roberto Firmino has recently been ruled out until well into December with a similar issue.

Time for Tsimikas

Robertson’s absence this weekend is not as much of a.concern as it once would have been at one stage.

Kostas Tsimikas has begun to prove his worth to the side this term, with his performances catching the eye.

Some Liverpool fans have even argued that Tsimikas should be their first choice at left-back currently, such is the level of his performances.

And the Greek international should have another chance to stake his claim for a more regular starting spot on Saturday evening now.
