As per a report by RMC Sport, Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate missed training ahead of the World Cup final between France and Argentina.
Why did Liverpool star Konate miss training?
It has been reported that there has been a flu going around the France camp, which seems to have affected Konate.
However, the 23-year-old is not the only member of the French squad to have caught the virus, as the likes of Raphael Varane and Kingsley Coman were also forced to miss training.
Will he miss the World Cup final?
At this moment in time, one cannot say for sure.
The report mentions that France are not overly concerned about the availability of any of their flu-riddled players, including Ibrahima Konate.
It has also been claimed that while the ex-RB Leipzig centre-back ended up missing training, him alongside Varane and Coman were allowed to do some gym work in preparation for the all-important contest.
How has Konate performed in Qatar?

The Liverpool ace has been a revelation for France in Qatar.
In 3 starts for Didier Deschamps’s side, the Paris-born centre-half has not put a foot wrong.
Especially in the semi-final against Morocco, where Konate was given an 8.5/10 rating by the national media for how brilliant he was for France all night.
Even Jamie Carragher claimed he can’t see how he gets dropped in the World Cup final on Twitter.
Who could replace Konate in the France XI?
Didier Deschamps did say tell RMC Sport (via Mia San Mia) that the unwell Dayot Upamecano is likely to be available for the contest.
Considering Upamecano is his first-choice centre-back alongside Varane, the pair could be reunited on Sunday.
While some may feel the in-form William Saliba could be handed a chance, it is next to impossible that he gets thrown into the deep end in that manner.
One hopes Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate is fit and firing ahead of the clash, as he has been terrific at the World Cup.
