According to Bild, Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in signing Benjamin Sesko, who has been compared to Erling Haaland.

What’s the story?

Well, it sounds as if Liverpool and Tottenham have set their sights on a potential star of the future, if Bild are to be trusted.

Bayern Munich are also interested in signing the 18-year-old, who appears to be the latest gem off the RB Salzburg production line after Sadio Mane and Haaland.

You can certainly see why Liverpool and Tottenham are interested in the teenager.

So far this season, Sesko has scored seven goals while also providing seven assists, proving that he isn’t just a goalscorer, but also a creator.

Standing at 6ft 4in but with plenty of pace about him, the Slovenia international has been called the second coming of Haaland – Goal describe him as ‘Mini-Haaland’.

Elvis Basanovic – Sesko’s agent – even said his client is one of the fastest players on the planet, which is an interesting claim given the wonderkid’s size.

He said: “I think he is a very complete striker who can score with his head, with his right foot, with his left foot, from inside the area, from distance, after dribbling or completing a team move. He is very fast, in some games he reaches a speed of over 36km/h (22.3 mp/h) which makes him one of the fastest forwards in the world.”

Liverpool and Tottenham can’t miss out

If Sesko really is the reincarnation of Haaland, Liverpool and Tottenham cannot miss out.

Every European giant presumably kicked themselves after allowing Haaland to join Borussia Dortmund for just £17.1m, which was a real bargain for a player who now has 80 goals in 79 games for the German side.

RB Salzburg know how to produce talent, and by the looks of it, Sesko is the real deal.

From a physical aspect, he is also tailor made for the rigours of the Premier League – he has the potential to become a giant of English football.

Keep an eye on this saga, as we could soon see Sesko in the Premier League.
