Leeds United and Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing Rangers teenager Rory Wilson, according to The Daily Star.

The report has claimed that Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Manchester City all are keeping tabs on Rangers striker Wilson.

The 16-year-old wants to leave Rangers in the summer transfer window despite being offered his first professional contact, according to the report.

Wilson wants to follow in the footsteps of Billy Gilmour and become a professional in England.

The Daily Star have added that striker has scored 40 goals for the Rangers youth team this season and will cost £300,000 in compensation.

Leeds United or Liverpool for Rory Wilson?

In our opinion, Wilson will have a tough task picking his next club, especially with Leeds and Liverpool interested in him.

Now, the Rangers striker is only 16, and he will clearly not get a place in the starting lineup at any top club in the Premier League anytime soon.

Liverpool have a very strong first-team squad now anyway, and it could be hard for Wilson to break into it in the next two years.

Leeds have shown over the years that they do give chances to young players, and that could appeal to Wilson.
