Tottenham Hotspur are now keen on signing Said Benrahma from Brentford, according to the Daily Mirror.

Benrahma has a long list of admirers in the Premier League, and it seems that Tottenham can now be added to the clubs bidding for his signature this summer.

The Algerian has been in scintillating form for Brentford over the past campaign, and with the Bees failing to win at Wembley, it appears that his time at Griffin Park is coming to an end.

Tottenham are now entering the bidding, after his asking price has apparently fallen by £9 million.

Brentford were wanting £25 million for their star winger, but the Mirror suggest that he could be available for just £16 million now, which may appeal to Tottenham.

Spurs are shopping on a limited budget, and Benrahma could now fit into their price range.

If he was brought to Tottenham then he would add skill and finesse to their side, and make competition for places out wide fierce.

Benrahma has impressed almost all observers with his performances this season, with Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie hailing him at the best player in the division just months ago.

“He’s an absolutely outstanding performer. He’s one of the best, if not the best, in the Championship,” he said.

Benrahma scored 17 goals and nine assists over the past season, which suggests that he is now ready to make the step up to playing in the top flight.
