According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are adamant that they will be back in for Brenden Aaronson this summer, despite failing with their approaches for him this month.

The American was touted as Leeds’ number one target this winter, and they’ve even had two bids knocked back for him, but sadly, Victor Orta gets the sense that RB Salzburg will not sell him.

However, as ever, Leeds’ Director of Football hasn’t been deterred by this, and he’s still determined to bring the ‘unique player’ to Elland Road this summer.

Like a dog with a bone, Leeds often refuse to give up when they have their mind set on a certain transfer target.

Just look at how they pursued Dan James for two and a half years after his failed move to the Whites in January 2019. Eventually, Leeds usually get their man.

Of course, whether or not they’ll be able to land Aaronson remains to be seen.

This midfielder is currently playing for a Champions League club, and as much as Leeds fans won’t like to hear it, there is a chance that the Yorkshire outfit will be playing Championship football next season.

This is certainly a situation worth keeping an eye on as we approach the end of the season.
