According to The Mail, Leeds United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Jack Harrison.
Harrison has been an important player for the club over the years, but the ‘fantastic‘ winger has not been in the best form this season, having only scored once in the league. However, despite this, the attacker has still been attracting interest from other Premier League clubs, most notably Leicester City.
Leicester look to be the most likely club to sign Harrison given their recent interest in him. The Foxes are in need of some extra firepower and Harrison’s ability to create from wide areas could make him a valuable addition to their squad.
However, Leicester do already have talented wingers in the shape of Harvey Barnes and Tete, who arrived on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk this week.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United are long-term admirers of the player having made multiple bids in the past, but it’s unlikely that they’ll sign another winger after splashing £45m on Anthony Gordon.
Saying that, Gordon and Harrison could be a deadly partnership on either flank for Newcastle, so watch this space.
The fact that this news has broken so close to the transfer deadline suggests that Leeds may have another signing up their sleeve.
The Whites have made an offer for Nicolo Zaniolo, who could be a like-for-like replacement for Harrison, should he move on.
Leeds have already made a number of signings this month with Max Wober, Georginio Rutter and Weston McKennie coming in, and now, there could be a high profile departure at the end of the months.
This news may come as a surprise to many Leeds fans, who have become used to seeing Harrison as a key player in the team. However, given his recent form and the interest from other clubs, a move away from Leeds may be best for both the player and the club.
