Leeds United Football Club are now trying to sign Hwang Hee-chan from Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final day of the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Leeds have not given up on signing Hwang from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on summer transfer deadline day.
The West Yorkshire club are trying to get a deal done for the 26-year-old South Korea international forward after suffering a blow in their quest to sign Bamba Dieng from Marseille.
As reported by well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano earlier today on Twitter, Leeds had an agreement in place with Marseille over the forward, but Nice made a late offer, and the Senegal international is now set to sign for them.

Solhekol said about Leeds and Hwang on Sky Sports: “We know that they have been looking for a forward. Another player they were trying to sign ifsHwang, the Wolves striker.
“He is a player that they have been interested in. We have just got a message to say, we were asking the question, is there any chance now Leeds would go in for him that they have missed out on Bamba Dieng, and some people involved in the negotiations are saying they are trying, they are trying to set something up with Leeds.
“I am not sure if it’s going to happen because it is very late in the day, but they are still trying.”
Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, Leeds United could end up disappointed in their quest to sign Hwang Hee-chan from Wolverhampton Wanderers now.
Wolves will be aware of Leeds’s desperation to sign a forward, so they could ask for a sizeable transfer fee.
Basically as much as they want.
Would Leeds be willing to pay what the Wanderers would demand for the 28-year-old?
Probably not.
