Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Bamba Dieng will not join Leeds United on the final day of the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Marseille forward Dieng will move to Nice instead.
Romano has added that although Leeds had an agreement in place with Marseille over the transfer of the 22-year-old, Nice made a late move.
According to the Italian journalist, Leeds were furious with the situation, and he has claimed that the Premier League club are now about to miss out on the signing of the Senegal International.
Leeds United will not sign Bamba Dieng

Disappointing for Leeds
In our opinion, Leeds United will be hugely disappointed that Bamba Dieng is going to Nice now.
Earlier today, Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani said on Twitter that the Elland Road faithful should welcome Dieng.
Radrizzani was very confident about the deal happening, which is why the Italian businessman publicly acknowledged Leeds’s interest in him.
There is not much time left before the summer transfer window closes tonight, and it will be interesting to see if Leeds make a move for another forward this evening.
