Leeds United are holding talks with West Ham United over a fee needed for Tottenham Hotspur target Sonny Perkins, according to The Athletic.
Leeds in talks with West Ham over fee for Tottenham target Sonny Perkins
The report has claimed that Leeds are set to sign Perkins, who has left Premier League rivals West Ham this summer.
The West Yorkshire club are now reportedly in talks with the Hammers to ‘negotiate a settlement’ on a fee for Perkins.
Leeds do not want a tribunal to make a decision on how much compensation fee they would have to pay to West Ham for the talented and promising teenage forward, according to The Athletic.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Twitter over the weekend that Leeds will announce the signing of Perkins soon.
Earlier this month, The Daily Mail claimed that Leeds, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa all want to sign the 18-year-old forward in the summer transfer window.
But it now seems that Leeds will beat Tottenham and Villa to the signature of Perkins.
One for the future
Sonny Perkins is only 18 now, and he is clearly a player Leeds United want to sign for the future.
It is very likely that the Premier League club will draft the teenager into the youth team for now.
Perkins played regularly for West Ham’s development squad last season and was named Premier League 2’s Player of the Month for April.
The English teenager started as a midfielder, but he is now playing as a centre-forward.
Perkins made three appearances for the West Ham first team last season, all upfront.
The teenager also scored 12 goals at Under-23 level.
