Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa are reportedly about to miss out on former West Ham United prospect Sonny Perkins to Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United.
Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Perkins, who left West Ham this summer, has completed his medial at Leeds and has signed his contract.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Leeds will announce the signing of the young forward “very soon”.
Earlier this month, The Daily Mail claimed that Leeds, Tottenham and Aston Villa all want to sign the 18-year-old forward in the summer transfer window.

Leeds to sign Tottenham and Aston Villa target Sonny Perkins
One for the future
In our view, Sonny Perkins is one for the future for Leeds United and is likely to be part of the youth team for now.
Yes, Leeds do give chances to talented and young players, but we think that at the moment head coach Marsch is unlikely to draft him into the first team and will first see how he does in the youth side.
Perkins played regularly for West Ham’s development squad last season was named Premier League 2’s Player of the Month for April.
The English teenager started as a midfielder but has been playing as a centre-forward.
Perkins made three appearances for the West Ham first team last season, all upfront.
The teenager also scored 12 goals at Under-23 level.
