AC Milan will reportedly make one last offer to sign Club Brugge superstar Charles de Ketelaere, with Leeds United still in the race to also land the talented Belgian international.

According to CalcioMercto, the Rossoneri are keen to quickly wrap up the signing of De Ketelaere, a saga which has now taken up the good part of a few weeks yet seems no closer to being concluded, with Leeds hot on the attacker’s trail after several rounds of negotiating.

De Ketelaere is expected to leave Brugge this summer, though the Belgian side are stalling over how much they want for their star talent, with recent reports suggesting that the 21-year-old winger can leave for £30m, a fee Leeds and Milan are both seemingly open to paying to sign the youngster.

A talent that has been hailed as ‘generational’ by the Italian media, De Ketelaere has been tipped by many to develop into Begium’s next superstar player, succeeding the likes of Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne, which is why both Leeds and Milan are fighting to the very end to land the versatile forward.

Indeed, De Ketelaere would be a success in both the Premier League or Serie A, but with Milan competing in the UEFA Champions League next season are likely to challenge for the Scudetto, the youngster could favour a move to Italy despite the prospect of playing top-flight football in England.

With De Ketelaere competing in Europe last season for Brugge and playing against the likes of Manchester City and PSG, it makes sense why Milan would be a more favourable move, and with the Italian giants set to launch one final offer for the 21-year-old, Leeds could be out of the race in the coming days.

As mentioned, De Ketelaere would likely prefer to join Milan given the stature and the opportunities the club can offer, however, if the Italian giants fail in their final attempt to sign the attacker, this could give Leeds the edge they need to pull off one of the most surprising deals of the summer.

Whilst Leeds have made some impressive signings in the market, De Ketelaere would be on a whole new level for Jesse Marsch, with the Belgian essentially the dream replacement for Raphinha on top of a great attacking partner for fellow summer arrival Luis Sinisterra.
