Leeds United believe that Charlie Cresswell, now on loan at Millwall, could be their future at central defence, according to The Athletic.
The Athletic have reported this morning that although Leeds sent Cresswell out on loan to Millwall in the summer transfer window, they do see him as the future at centre-back, provided his development at the Championship club goes to plan.
The 20-year-old England Under-21 international joined Championship outfit Millwall on loan from Premier League side Tottenham for this season.

In our view, Charlie Cresswell could become a better player during his loan spell at Millwall and return to Leeds United ready to establish himself in the first team at Elland Road.
Leeds do have experienced defenders in their first-team squad at the moment, and the English youngster would have struggled for playing time.
Described as “unreal” by Leeds forward Joe Gelhardt on Instagram over the weekend, Cresswell has been doing well for Millwall so far this season, and his performances and progress have been encouraging.
The 20-year-old has made seven starts and one substitute appearance in the Championship for Millwall so far this season.
Cresswell has scored three goals and given one assist in those matches.
