According to Goal, Leeds United have cooled their interest in signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi due to their £15million demands.
The Blues seem ready to sell Batshuayi after his loan spell at Crystal Palace, but are still demanding £15million for his services.
That’s an £18million loss on the £33million Chelsea paid for Batshuayi in 2016, but they just want him off the books.
Leeds’ alleged interest in Batshuayi
The Telegraph reported last week that Leeds are interested in signing Batshuayi, given that he worked under Marcelo Bielsa at Marseille.
Patrick Bamford enjoyed a fine season in attack, but with Rodrigo more of a number 10, Leeds could go for another centre forward.
Batshuayi fits the bill in many ways, but that price tag is seemingly too rich for Leeds’ blood given their hopes to strengthen other positions too.

Bielsa’s history with Batshuayi
Batshuayi was signed by Bielsa’s Marseille in 2014, and the Belgian international scored 10 goals in his one season under the Argentinian.
The striker admitted to Onze Mondial in 2018 that Bielsa predicted he would be sold for around €40million (£34million), and that’s exactly what happened.
Five years on from Batshuayi’s big move, Leeds would only have to pay around half of that price tag – but seemingly aren’t convinced.
