Robert Gumny may be leaving Lech Poznan – but not for Celtic.

According to Zagranie in Poland, Lech Poznan are in advanced negotiations to sell star right back Robert Gumny to a team in Italy.
Gumny, 21, has emerged as one of the top young Polish players in the Ekstraklasa in recent years, showing real promise as an attacking right back.
He may have only notched one goal and one assist last season, but his superb skill and technique – as seen here – show what a talent he is.
He’s subsequently been linked with moves to a host of clubs, but it’s now thought that he’s off to Italy, with advanced talks being held with a mystery club.
He doesn’t have to look far for inspiration, as Bartosz Bereszynski – another right back – is currently starring for Napoli having joined from Legia Warsaw in 2017.
The news will be a low to Celtic though, as they have been in the market for Gumny as they look to add another right back to Neil Lennon’s ranks.

The Scottish Daily Mail (24/07 print edition, page 82) reported that Celtic have Gumny on their wish list, with one more right back needed after the arrival of Hatem Abd Elhamed.
Gumny fits the bill as a promising, attacking right back, to go with the more experienced, solid Abd Elhamed, but if Celtic are to sign him, they need to get moving quickly as a switch to Italy appears to be on the cards.
