Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will reportedly approve Edu Gaspar’s summer transfer window plan for the north London club that could take the Gunners to the next level.
According to Football London, the American businessman will greenlight the technical director’s spending plan for the summer, which see Arsenal have as much as £180m to work with if previous reports are to be believed.
Arsenal were the highest spenders in Europe last summer after Mikel Arteta and Edu dramatically rebuilt the squad. And it appears that the Gunners are expected to do something similar in the upcoming window.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set to leave at the end of their contracts as is Mohamed Elneny, meaning a striker and central midfielder are likely to be brought in this summer for Arsenal, along with backup options in multiple positions.
Indeed, this update is an exciting one on multiple fronts for Arsenal supporters, as it indicates that the north London side will go heavy in the summer window regardless of their final Premier League position.
The Gunners are the favourites to clinch fourth place in the league standings, however, Arsenal’s history of throwing away these positions in recent years doesn’t give them a guarantee that they will qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Kroenke’s summer investment could take Arsenal to new level

Kroenke’s ownership of Arsenal has been heavily criticised in recent years by supporters, yet the American’s willingness to invest in the squad has been a welcome change for fans, and this latest move could well take Arteta’s squad to the next level.
A world-class striker and midfield partner for Thomas Partey are the missing pieces for Arsenal’s strongest XI, and if Edu is given the funds to find these players as well as to flesh out the rest of the squad, the Gunners could have an exciting season ahead of their next campaign.
