Juventus could deny Fabio Paratici one of Tottenham Hotspur’s January transfer targets in Weston McKennie by swapping the American with Monaco to sign Aurelien Tchouameni.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who report the Bianconeri are weighing up McKennie’s future in Turin. The Serie A giants want to refresh Massimiliano Allegri’s engine room next year, but have question marks over how they can afford the Monegasques’ asking price.
Juventus chiefs are carefully considering all potential proposals that could see Tchouameni move to Italy in January or next summer. McKennie’s inclusion as a counterpart to lower the fee needed is the latest idea Paratici’s replacement, Federico Cherubini, is deliberating.

Cherubini believes McKennie represents Juventus’ best hope of lowering Monaco’s price to secure Tchouameni’s arrival at the Allianz Stadium. And putting the 23-year-old on a silver platter could frustrate Paratici, as the Italian wants to see Tottenham sign McKennie.
Prior reports by Calciomercato on McKennie’s uncertain future noted Tottenham and West Ham have shown the most interest in negotiating a transfer with Juventus. The Texas-born dynamo is up for sale as the Bianconeri try to raise funds as he does not convince Allegri.
Off-field issues involving the American have also frustrated the Old Lady, who would have sold him this summer. But, as Calciomercato reported last month, he rejected moves away, which was not enough to distract West Ham, who have remained on pole for his services.

Will Juventus deny Tottenham their McKennie transfer?
Paratici would have to edge interest from West Ham for McKennie’s transfer, but Juventus’ plans for the Tottenham target and signing Tchouameni from Monaco is the greater threat.
If the Monegasques warm to McKennie moving to the Stade Louis II, Spurs may be left out in the cold. Paratici, then, would have to hope Monaco do not share Juventus’ valuation of the America international.
The Old Lady have set a €30m (£25.5m) price tag on McKennie, with Tottenham plotting a January move, per Calciomercato. Monaco agreeing with the fee would certainly help the Bianconeri land Tchouameni. As Marca report the Ligue 1 side want €60m (£51m).
