According to Calciomercato, Tottenham are already preparing a move for Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie in January.
What’s the story?
Well, Tottenham tried hard to sign the 23-year-old over the summer.
Tuttosport even claimed that Fabio Paratici offered Tanguy Ndombele to Juventus in a bid to bring the American to N17.
Eventually, McKennie stayed in Turin, although the transfer saga doesn’t seem to be over just yet.
Calciomercato believe Tottenham and Aston Villa are already preparing January moves for the 25-cap USA international, who Juventus have placed a €30m (£25.8m) price tag on.
McKennie has made just one appearance this season.
Calciomercato state that Juventus are unhappy with him after he broke COVID-19 protocols over the international break.
Tottenham should forget about Weston McKennie

In our view, we’re not sure McKennie is worth such a lengthy pursuit.
The former Schalke 04 midfielder – who has been likened to ex-Liverpool man Gini Wijnaldum – is a fine player, although we don’t believe he’s better than what Nuno Espirito Santo already has.
On that note, it was bizarre to hear that Paratici had offered Ndombele to Juventus – if that was true, of course.

The Frenchman is twice the player McKennie is, and resurrecting his Spurs career should be more of a priority than signing the American.
If Nuno can get Ndombele back to how he was playing for Lyon, nobody at Spurs would even consider signing McKennie, in our view.
With Oliver Skipp, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks to choose from along with Ndombele, Nuno can certainly find better ways to spend that £25.8m Juventus are after.
