According to The Liverpool Echo, Jonjoe Kenny is expected to leave Everton this summer once he returns from Celtic.
This news may not come as a surprise to many, given that it has been apparent for some time that Everton haven’t really fancied Kenny.
Kenny spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Schalke, but that didn’t push him any closer to regular playing time with the Toffees.
After just four league appearances in the first half of the season, Kenny was sent out on loan again in January, joining Celtic.
The 23-year-old has been featuring regularly for the Bhoys, but he needs to settle down with another club permanently.
Could that be Celtic? Well, probably not. The Times recently reported that Celtic just can’t afford to keep him full-term.

Burnley have long been interested in signing Kenny, and few would be surprised if they came back in for him this summer.
Everton are looking at other right backs as they pursue Seamus Coleman’s long-term successor, and the writing now appears to be on the wall for Kenny as his long-standing association with Everton looks set to end.
