Lazio have now slashed the asking price of playmaker Joaquin Correa amid strong links with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s according to Il Messaggero, who claim that Lazio wanted €40million (£34million) for Correa earlier this summer.
However, with no takers at that price and Lazio still looking to sell in order to raise funds, the price tag has now been cut to around €30million (£25.5million).
Agent Alessandro Lucci is not giving up on a Premier League move, and this news of a price slash could be of interest to English sides.
Tottenham Hotspur have been strongly linked with Correa, with Fabio Paratici no doubt aware of the quality he possesses.
Whilst Correa has been starring at Lazio, Paratici has been in charge of Juventus’s transfer business, at least before heading to Tottenham.

Alfredo Pedulla reported in July that Tottenham had offered £25million for Correa, and that Paratici wanted to sign him for Juventus last summer.
That Tottenham bid failed, but the asking price is now at virtually the same amount – surely an appealing proposition for Paratici.
Whether a number 10 is a top priority for Tottenham before the transfer deadline remains to be seen, but Correa is a name to keep an eye on.
